Dr. Kowey is Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Diseases of the Main Line Health System and President of the Main Line Health Heart Center in Wynnewood, PA. Additionally, he is a Full Professor of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kowey is a Fellow of several professional organizations, including the Clinical Council of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology. He maintains an active clinical practice focused on electrophysiology. In addition, he has been an investigator on many key clinical trials, and is responsible for the development of numerous antiarrhythmic drugs and devices. He has authored or co-authored over 400 papers and scientific reports related to cardiac arrhythmia and current treatment, and is on the editorial boards of the Heart Rhythm Journal and the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology. Dr. Kowey recently published his first novel, Lethal Rhythm.
