Bio

Dr. Ansell is the Michael S. Bruno, MD, Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, and Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. He is internationally recognized as an expert in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis. His research is focused on addressing clinical challenges in thrombotic disorders and anticoagulation therapy. He has authored over 200 original articles, reviews, editorials, and books. He is a Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis.

Dr. Ansell is actively involved in developing new strategies for the management of thrombotic disorders with a special interest in oral anticoagulant therapy. He is the founder and immediate past Chairman of the Anticoagulation Forum, a network of anticoagulation clinics throughout North America, as well as the co-founder and President of the International Self-Management of Oral Anticoagulation Association.
