Bio

Dr. Nutescu is a Clinical Professor at the Department of Pharmacy Practice and the Center for Pharmacoeconomic Research at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy in Chicago, IL. She is also the Director of the Antithrombosis Clinic at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. Her therapeutic expertise is in the area of thrombotic disorders and anticoagulant therapies. Dr. Nutescu is the Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Anticoagulation Forum (a nationwide network of anticoagulation clinics). She also serves on the Medical and Scientific Advisory Board of the National Blood Clot Alliance. Dr. Nutescu is the Co-Chair of the Anticoagulation Task Force at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. She served as a member of the Steering Committee for the National Consensus Standards for the Prevention and Care of Deep Vein Thrombosis, part of the National Quality Forum and the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Dr. Nutescu authored over 100 scientific articles published in the science and medical literature and serves as a reviewer for numerous journals, including the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and Thrombosis Research. She sits on the Editorial Boards of Pharmacotherapy, Annals of Pharmacotherapy, and Thrombosis.
